გამოიყენება ორი დამოკიდებული შერჩევის (წყვილების) შესადარებლად. ყველაზე ხშირად დამოკიდებული შერჩევები მიიღება ერთსა და იმავე ობიექტების გაზომვისას დროის სხვადასხვა მომენტში, სხვადასხვა პირობის დროს (ფაქტორის მოქმედებამდე და ფაქტორის მოქმედების შემდეგ), ერთსა და იმავე პირების სხვადასხვა მახასიათებლის გაზომვისას.

მაგალითი: ჰიპოთეზის თანახმად, მუსიკის ტემპი გავლენას ახდენს ქცევის სისწრაფეზე. ჩატარდა შემდეგი კვლევა: ორი დღის განმავლობაში კაფეში აკვირდებოდნენ ერთსა და იმავე 10 კლიენტის სადილობას მუსიკის ფონის ორი განსხვავებული პირობის შემთხვევაში: პირველ დღეს ნელი მუსიკის დროს და მეორე დღეს სწრაფი მუსიკის დროს. ჩაიწერეს თითოეული ცდის პირის მიერ მუსიკის თითოეულ პირობაში წუთში მიღებული ლუკმების რაოდენობა და მიიღეს შემდეგი მონაცემები:
